Configuring a Dialup Connection - Mac OS 10

Follow the instructions below to manually set up your Iserv Internet connection.  If you need assistance, please call Customer Service at 888.64.ISERV or email info@iserv.net.
  • Double-click the 'Macintosh hard drive' icon (on your desktop)
  • Double-click the 'Applications' folder
  • Double-click the 'Internet Connect' icon
  • In the 'Internal Modem' window, verify that the correct modem is selected in the 'Configuration field'
  • Click on 'Edit'
  • In the 'Network' window, verify that the 'Show' field is set to 'Internal Modem'
  • Next to the 'Location' field, select 'New Location...'
  • A new window appears that prompts you to 'Name the location'  (The default location is called "untitled 1")
  • Change the 'Location name' to "Iserv"
  • Select the 'TCP/IP' tab
  • Next to the 'Configure' field, select 'Using PPP'
  • Click on the 'PPP' tab
  • In the 'Service Provider' field, type "Iserv"
  • In the 'Telephone Number' field, enter the appropriate dialup number for your local dialing area.  (To find an Iserv access number that is local to you, go to our Dialup Access Numbersl)
  • In the 'Account Name' field, enter your username (format "username@iserv.net", this will work for all USA or Canada locations.  For other locations, please refer to the iPass Global Roaming page)
  • In the 'Password' field, enter your case-sensitive Iserv password  (If you do not want to be prompted for your password every time you connect, check the 'Save Password' box)
  • Click the 'Apply Now' button
  • Close the 'Network' window
  • When you close the 'Network' window, the 'Internal Modem' window appears
  • Verify that the correct telephone number is selected, that your Iserv Login ID is correct, and that the password is correct
  • Click the 'Connect' button to connect to the Internet.
  • You should see 'Connected' in the 'Status' area
